AL-KO KOBER AG was founded in 1931 by Alois Kober, as a small metalworking shop in the village of Großkötz near Günzburg, located in southern Germany. ALLETT

The first Allett prototype was a 36? wide machine designed, built and tested in 1965 by horticultural engineer, Reg Allett who, a year later, manufactured and sold his first production mower; Allett are now market leaders in professional cylinder mowers, homeowner mowers and precision pitch care. In 2011 Allett acquired, from Bosch lawn and garden, the design and manufacturing rights to the former Atco and Suffolk Punch branded petrol and electric pedestrian cylinder mowrs. These have now formed our new 'green and gold' Classic and Expert cylinder mower range.

ARIENS

The Ariens Company began in 1933 based on raising 3000 US dollars when Henry Ariens and his three sons – Steve, Leon and Francis –developed the first American-made rotary tiller at a time when other manufacturers were experimenting with imported tillers. It took many years of experimentation, education and perseverance before rotary tilling became accepted as a proven agricultural tool. Throughout the years the company developed garden tractors, lawnmowers and became a world leader in pedestrian snow throwers whilst in 2010 the company aquired the well known British manufacturer Countax Ltd in Oxfordshire where the European head office is based.

BELROBOTICS

Belrobotics is pioneered in the robotic industry, the company opened the commercial robot market in the early 2000s and has been since then, continuously improving the quality of its machines in order to reach the top of the sector in terms of quality, performance and duration. BRIGGS & STRATTON

Briggs & Stratton was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1908 and has been blazing trails in small engine design and manufacturing ever since. Stephen Briggs was an electrical engineer. Harold Stratton was a grain merchant. The two entrepreneurs came together to build a new gas-powered vehicle at the dawn of the automotive age. Today, Briggs & Stratton is the world’s largest producer of petrol engines for lawn mowers, snow blowers, portable generators, pressure washers, and other outdoor power equipment. Throughout Briggs & Stratton's long history, they’ve rolled with the times. Briggs & Stratton is global. You can find their small engines powering milking machines in Mexico, sugar cane crushers in Puerto Rico, and fishing boats in Vietnam. And, of course, the lawn mowers and equipment in lawns and gardens throughout the world. That’s a century of heritage, a vast pool of experience. and a big responsibility to live up to. CASTELGARDEN

In 1986 a new company is formed under the name Castelgarden Equipment always based in Castelfranco – Italy. In 1995 the Italian company Castelgarden Equipment is acquired by a group of financial investors and renamed Castelgarden SpA. In 2000 Castelgarden SpA, leading manufacturer in Europe of lawnmowers, merges with Stiga, Stiga Belos AB, Mountfield, one of the most well-known lawn mower brands in England, and Alpina Professional & Garden SpA, manufacturer of chainsaws and brushcutters also situated in Italy.   Together they formed Global Garden Products (GGP) with headquarters in Castelfranco Veneto. The GGP Group specializes in the development, production and marketing of lawn mowers, lawn riders as well as hand-held powered garden equipments  

Cobra

Cobra Garden Machinery was launched in 2013 and is supported by the Henton & Chattell Ltd Group, giving Cobra Garden the benefit of over 80 years experience in the Garden Machinery and Horticultural Industry. 2013 saw the launch of the Cobra Garden range of machinery, which was well received by UK dealers and their customers alike. In 2014 the Cobra Garden portfolio was expanded and now consists of nearly 70 products, to cover both domestic and professional requirements. Cub Cadet

Driven by innovation

The story of Cub Cadet is a story of accomplishments – and where those accomplishments lead as you look at the history since 1961 when the first 'Cubs' rolled off the assembly line at International Harvester the well known agricultural machinery manufacturer. Driven by innovation, each advance lead to something greater which gives you a glimpse of the future. During 1966, Cub Cadet introduced the first hydrostatic tractor and since then the company have been industry leaders in technical design, engineering and production boasting too many innovations to list here. That’s what makes the prospect of the next 50 years so exciting.

Countax

Made in britain Since 1993,

Countax under British management led the way in the design and manufacture of garden tractors and ride on lawn mowers. They became the preferred choice for gardens featuring large lawns, orchards, paddocks and slopes. The unique Countax sweeper system remains ultra successful. The brushes are designed to collect grass and leaves even in the wet and are extremely versatile – able to create the perfect striped lawn finish or tackle the tallest nettles and brambles. In 2010 the company was aquired by the Ariens company from the USA who continue to invest in the Countax sweeper brainchild and manufacture in Great Britain.

DANARM  

In 1991 the then owner of DANARM, Linton Park plc, planned to terminate the company. However, the present Managing Director who had been employed by T.H. & J. Daniels and DANARM since 1958 decided to continue the DANARM name. With Linton Park's agreement DANARM MACHINERY commenced trading in 1992. Most of the present range of products are imported from the Japanese manufacturing company KAAZ Corporation with whom DANARM has a 30 year association.

ECHO

Cutting a swaithe in the UK since the 70's

The Yamabiko Corporation was formed with the merger of Kioritz Corporation and Shindaiwa Corporation. Founded after WWII, both companies have more than 50 years’ experience serving similar businesses. Kioritz Corporation initially made its name manufacturing agricultural machinery such as engine powered dusters and mist blowers. It then expanded its business into serving the tree maintenance and landscaping/gardening segments under the Kioritz and ECHO brand names. ECHO products have proved very popular with domestic and professional users in the UK since the late 1970s.

GRILLO  

GRILLO SpA, Cesena, Italy was founded back in 1953 under the name "OFFICINE PINZA" thanks to an innovative project the then twenty year old Benito Pinza invented the first GRILLO walking tractor, from which the company took its name since 1957. This year is a milestone in the history of the exciting adventure started by a young man of 20 years of age into the world of agricultural mechanisation. For over 50 years GRILLO has been designing and producing machines for professional agriculture, green spaces maintenance as well as for domestic use in private house gardens and continues to grow its business world wide.        

HAYTER

Makers of fine lawnmowers  

The first proto type designed by Douglas Hayter had a second hand two-stroke engine plus a collection of bits and pieces that he had under his workshop bench. By the second day of assembly, the first Hayter rotary lawnmower, complete with a dustbin lid over the rotor, was ready for use. The new lawnmower worked quite well and before long, an admiring neighbour asked Mr Hayter to make one for him. From this small beginning, demand for the Spellbrook, Bishops Stortford built mower grew, and soon after the Hayter Motor Scythe went into full production in 1947. It was a hand-propelled motor mower with a 24” cut made with whatever engine was available at the time. Since then Hayter have been a leading innovator in the British lawnmower industry and are well known today for the Hayter Harrier which has seen many design and technical changes and continues to be an industry plus professional and home owner user favorite since the 1980s.  

HONDA

The power of dreams

Honda Power Equipment, offer a wide range solutions for the home and business - Marine, Industrial, Lawn & Garden, ATVs and Snowthrowers.   The HR21, Honda's first walk-behind lawn mower, was launched in August 1978 in overseas markets including the U.S. The high-quality lawn mower equipped with a vertical engine, which ensured quiet operation and significantly easier starting, received rave reviews for its outstanding performance, safety and durability. Sales were strong from the start, growing steadily to the point that in 1985, when sister models were introduced, Honda boasted total sales of 330,000 units from its line of lawn mowers.
